"History doesn't repeat but it rhymes."
On the theories of Jackierionne and AnotherBV.

╰⪼ The SAT: Schizo Archive Timeline
THIS line is famous. Boom, head explosion. It appears it’s not fully settled who came up with the line first, but the important part is the way this affects FNaF.
If you live under a rock, the FNaF rock, you will probably recognize this line from the one time that Evan Lampi guy mentioned it in relation to Secret of the Mimic’s inspiration from other games. And I ought to say, his words are very, very interesting. Take a look. (Quotation may be a bit off, but don’t worry. Stuttering and so on, skipped over some silly little thingies.)
Caption 12: Inspiration
“inspiration for the development of this? Yeah, absolutely. I mean, we look at all of the FNaF games. I mean, we are at this point, we are FNaF experts, right? That’s what we’re paid to do. Um, so yeah, we research very deeply into every FNaF game and look for any shreds of reference we can pull and connections we can make. Um, because we really want this to be a contiguous part of the entire FNaF, like, continuum, right? We don’t want it to live on its own as this, you know, weird side thing. Um, but uh, you know it’s interesting too as we’re developing the game there’s these certain themes that start reemerging. Um, it’s like, I call it thematic repetition. They say like what’s- (what’s the saying?) history doesn’t repeat but it rhymes. It’s sort of like that, right? These ideas that aren’t necessarily direct one to ones but they are these like churning, you know, narrative motifs that come around again. And I think we see a lot of that and having that emerge as a prequel is a really interesting dynamic, right? Cuz what does it say about, like, the sequel influences the prequel, right?”
Done reading? Great. Now pay close attention to the words of this man. Reemerging themes, thematic repetition or “rhyming”, narrative motifs NOT 1:1, “sequel influences the prequel”. The clearest examples of this in-game are Big Top and his resemblance to DJ Music Man, Jugband Monty and 70s Hippo eventually becoming Glam Monty and Glam Hippo, the Mailbots and their similarity to Staff Bots, and… there’s the intriguing ones I’ve come to talk about: David, BV, Gregory; Jackie, Nightmarionne.
Starting off with the latter, I find the way they made sense of the Nightmarionne plushies incredibly creative, retroactively using its ties to the Puppet to connect it to Jackie, also giving us somewhat of a reason (or at least a clue) as to why the plushies surround Mimic and Glitchtrap, this being because it’s the agony revolving the program. But anyway, with what basis do I so boldly declare that Jackie is the origin of Nightmarionne?
Of course, a big chunk of the connection comes, as I said, from the notion that some of Puppet’s traits (music box, “my Grandfather’s Clock”, the tears, etc.) were passed on to Jackie, and even though you may not realize it at first glance, a close look makes it evident.

(From left to right, phase 1 to 3.)
As Jackie is worn by M2, the state of the jack-in-the-box toy deplores, first missing its bowtie and leaving only three buttons, reminiscent of Puppet’s, and also beginning to grow black tears that would later develop and become bigger, along with black stripes on its arms. These details would then go on to be intensified in Jackie’s third phase, accompanied with the loss of her nose, making her even more similar to the Puppet. Now, these details wouldn’t mean much… if they were shared by all the costumes and/or animatronics Mimic wears in SotM, but the fact that these are unique to Jackie, the Puppet-like toy by design, catches my attention. You can clearly tell it’s supposed to resemble Nightmarionne, the same way the Staff Bots have smiles, tears, and black stripes drawn on their bodies for that very purpose.
The other chunk of the connection is the shared jumpscare sound. Yes, Jackie’s jumpscare is not only unique in SotM, but it also shares Nightmare/Nightmarionne’s computer jumpscare noise. But it doesn’t end here, Jackie’s jumpscare doesn’t just reuse the original sound from FNaF4, it actually uses the Nightmare Staff Bots’ jumpscare! If this isn’t undeniable, I don’t know what is! (If you wanna see for yourself, check out the wiki page on Jackie. The jumpscares are there, even separated in layers.)
So, that’s Jackie covered, possibly solving one of modern FNaF’s biggest mysteries. Now comes David, from who have sprung theories like GodDavid, that we (“we” meaning the four fathers of the archive) consider… not the best, to put it lightly. Personally, I believe David’s ties to BV and Gregory are yet another example of this “history rhyming” phenomena. The specific reason for BV, if I had to guess, is Afton’s ownership over the land (and home) that was originally Murray’s. David is likely what Lampi calls a narrative motif, “these ideas that aren’t necessarily direct one to ones but they are these like churning, you know, narrative motifs that come around again.”
David is not meant to be a 1:1 replica of BV, the point is that they share some motifs that could point us in the right direction. For example, David “rhyming” with BV and both living in a home with a similar bedroom and sharing a few toys (in the same places oddly enough) is a pretty good indicator of the house becoming William’s in the future, which is very obviously the case considering we’re directly told Afton now owns the land. And that’s just an example, who knows what other things could we get from this? People have been quick to mention that it’s possible both kids possess scaled up versions of their toys, but that’s up to you to decide whether you believe or not.
The reason for Gregory’s “rhyming” is a whole lot more interesting for me. The idea of AnotherDavid is not anything new, and if you’ve read this timeline and paid attention, you must have noticed it’s there, out in plain sight in the form of a joke regarding M1’s desire for that very thing, another David. There’s the issue, though. After TalesGames got debunked, the bond we knew between M2 and David was broken and replaced with a bond between M1 and David, where M2 serves the role of the other David M1 wants. Since Glitchtrap is not M1, but rather M2, it would have no reason to want another D-kid, thus putting the theory in big trouble.

Look at these folks, so wholesome together.
What am I getting at? Well, the other, more reasonable and realistic alternative: AnotherBV. The reason this general idea is much more convincing than GDavid (for me, at least) is that Gregory not only has what he needs to be a “rhyme” of BV, but he is also the protagonist of the game full of Anothers, if you get what I mean.
Earlier I mentioned how some characters from the modern era have their origins and/or inspirations from the MCM, and even though this is true, there is also the aspect of the “Another Classics” in Security Breach, which is what I would call something like Glitchtrap/Burntrap, Tangle/the Blob, the Princess, the red Old Man from Princess Quest, and dare I say even Vanessa. These can act as “Anothers” of past characters, and considering the evidence and the huge roadblock in AnotherDavid’s way, it seems AnotherBV it is! In hindsight, it makes sense. After all, BV is the original, the one Gregory would be a “copy” of at the time of Security Breach’s development and release.
Out of the two Gregory theories, I feel AnotherBV accounts for the general evidence/clues in a better way, especially with the fact that it is Glitchtrap who was searching for someone like him, Mimic in the Afton persona. The virus already had Vanessa, who may or may not be an Afton, but either way could represent/be an “Another” of Elizabeth, and the existence of something like the so-called “Staffton table” does hint at the glitch aiming for the Aftons rather than the Murrays, at least at that point in time. So generally, I lean towards this.
That was all for now, just some interesting things that I thought would be useful to point out and elaborate on. Is the modern lore too hard? Too weird? Yes! Hope this helped! Bye!
